Payment / Insurance
Naturopathic doctors are not currently able to contract with insurance providers in Maryland and are considered out-of-network providers. All services and fees are paid for out-of-pocket. Upon request Dr. Kneessi can provide you with a bill which you can submit to your insurance provider for possible coverage. Medicare and Medicaid do not cover naturopathic care in Maryland. Standard laboratory testing ordered by Dr. Kneessi is generally covered by insurance unless the patient has Medicare or Medicaid.
Can Dr. Kneessi be my Primary Care Provider?
No. In the state of Maryland, Naturopathic Doctors do not serve as primary care providers and act as specialists in natural medicine. Dr. Kneessi encourages all of his patients to have a primary care physician or pediatrician to cover general medical care and screenings.
Cancellation Policy
Initial Naturopathic visits cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours notice (1 business day) will be charged $100 except in the case of family or medical emergency or inclement weather. If a new patient does not show for his/her/their appointment the same fee as above will apply.
Returning patients who cancel their follow-up visit with less than 24 hours notice (1 business day) will be billed for visit (charged to card on file) except in the case of family or medical emergency or inclement weather.
Late Arrival Policy
Move Forward Natural Health aims to make your visit a pleasurable one. In our efforts to make your visit more comfortable and to minimize your wait time, our office has implemented a late arrival policy. If a patient is more than 15 minutes late for an appointment, the appointment may need to be rescheduled. This is to ensure that the patients who arrive on time do not wait longer than necessary to see the provider. You may be given the option to wait for another appointment time on the same day if one is available. We will try to accommodate late-comers as best as possible. Please arrive 30 minutes early if you need to complete intake forms for your first visit.
