Yeast such as Candida normally live in the gut in small numbers, kept in check by beneficial bacteria and a healthy immune system. Yeast & Microbial Balance gathers the products I commonly use to support a healthy balance between yeast and bacteria in the gut.
Creating a Fullscript account is free, and you can look through every product before you decide anything.
The mechanisms this protocol supports
Beneficial bacteria compete with yeast for space and food and produce compounds that help keep yeast in balance. The immune system in the gut lining also keeps watch, and a healthy mucus layer limits how much yeast can attach to the lining.
Antibiotics, diets high in sugar and refined carbohydrates, stress and some medications can shift this balance toward yeast.
Research has linked antibiotic use, high-sugar diets and changes in immune signaling with yeast overgrowth in the gut. You can read more in my article on Candida.

Frequently asked questions
Is it normal to have Candida in the gut?
Yes, small amounts of yeast such as Candida are a normal part of the gut microbiome, and balance is what matters most.
Does diet matter for yeast balance?
Diets high in sugar and refined carbohydrates have been linked with yeast overgrowth, so many people pair this protocol with a lower-sugar, fiber-rich way of eating.
Do I need an appointment to order these products?
