If you are looking for a holistic or integrative doctor in Baltimore, Dr. Kneessi offers video visits to anyone located in Maryland, and in-person visits in Odenton, south of the city off Route 32. Dr. Ryan Kneessi is a licensed naturopathic doctor (ND), not an MD or DO, who takes a holistic, integrative approach. He earned his ND from National University of Health Sciences in 2013 and holds an active naturopathic doctor license in Maryland. He works with adults who want time to talk through their health, a clear explanation of their lab work, and an educational plan that fits real life.
Many health concerns have more than one contributing factor. Instead of looking at a single symptom on its own, Dr. Kneessi takes the time to understand your history, your daily habits, and your lab work, so you can see how the pieces may connect. The goal is a root-cause conversation that helps you understand your body and leave with a clear, practical plan that fits your life.

Video visits from anywhere in Baltimore
Baltimore has many clinics that use the words holistic and integrative, and their licenses and training vary widely. If you live in the city or in Baltimore County, video visits let you work with Dr. Kneessi without a long drive, and the Odenton office is an option when you want to meet in person.
Before choosing anyone, it helps to understand what each title means. The article on how to choose a holistic doctor lists questions to ask any practice, and the explainer on whether a holistic doctor is a real doctor compares naturopathic doctors with MDs and DOs.
What a video visit includes
A video visit covers the same ground as an in-person visit: your history, routines, medications, supplements, and any prior lab results. Afterward you receive a written plan, and if testing would help, Dr. Kneessi explains which tests and why before anything is ordered.
How visits work
Every new patient starts with a free 15-minute call. If it feels like a good fit, the initial consult is a longer visit covering your history, current routines, medications, supplements, and any prior lab work, followed by a written plan that explains the reasoning behind each suggestion. Follow-ups review results and adjust the plan. In-office visits in Odenton are Tuesday through Thursday from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, and Monday and Friday are video visits only. Video visits are available to anyone located in Maryland at the time of the visit.
To make paying for your visit simple, HSA and FSA cards are accepted, and we recommend that you check with your plan administrator about eligibility for your visit.
Getting to the office from Baltimore
From much of Baltimore the Odenton office is about 30 to 40 minutes south by I-97 or the Baltimore-Washington Parkway and Route 32, depending on traffic, which is why most Baltimore patients choose video visits. Parking is on site at Odenton Chiropractic.

Frequently asked questions
Is Dr. Kneessi a holistic doctor or a real doctor?
He is a licensed naturopathic doctor (ND). “Holistic” describes an approach rather than a license, and Dr. Kneessi uses a holistic, integrative approach within the scope of his naturopathic license. He is not an MD or DO.
Do you have a Baltimore office?
No. The office is in Odenton, and video visits are available to anyone located in Maryland, including Baltimore City and Baltimore County.
Can I see you if I live in Baltimore County?
Yes. Anywhere in Maryland works for video visits.
What does integrative mean here?
Integrative means the conversation brings together your existing medical care, your lab results, and practical nutrition, sleep, movement, and supplement education. Dr. Kneessi is happy to coordinate with your other doctors so everyone is working from the same information.
Can a naturopathic doctor be my primary care provider?
No. In Maryland, naturopathic doctors do not serve as primary care providers, so Dr. Kneessi works alongside your existing doctors rather than replacing them, and he encourages you to keep your regular checkups.
Does insurance cover naturopathic visits?
Naturopathic doctors in Maryland are not currently able to contract with insurance companies, so visits are paid directly. Some people submit receipts to their plan or use HSA or FSA funds, and it is worth checking with your plan before your first visit. The 15-minute introductory call is free.
