These mechanisms include actions involving anti-inflammatory properties, combating oxidative stress, supporting liver function, immunomodulating, and optimal metabolism. It’s these mechanisms that support our physiology and biochemistry that our program is built upon. The point system was designed around our physiology and biochemistry. The guide is designed to help you achieve your goals. If you’re ready to finally make the changes needed to live a healthier life, you’ve come to the right place. Get excited and let this program be your motivation to achieve optimal health!

Benefits of Living a Healthy Lifestyle
Eating well, exercising, being fit and healthy… we all know this would be better for our bodies, our mental health, our personal and social life. Yet, so many of us lead a lifestyle that is quite the opposite. Research has proven that aspects such as diet, physical activity, body weight, smoking, and other poor lifestyle decisions have a major impact on our health and longevity. Choosing the healthy path in all of these areas can lead to a significantly improved life.
What is a Healthy Lifestyle?
A healthy lifestyle has two central core concepts, consuming healthy foods and practicing an active lifestyle which supports maintaining a healthy body weight. Other aspects such as stress, smoking, and exposure to environmental toxins play a significant role in overall health as well. Research also suggests that mental health and mindset go hand in hand with healthy or unhealthy lifestyles and greatly influence life expectancy and physical wellbeing. This is the reason forming habits is vitally important to any wellness program. We focus on building sustainable long term healthy habits.
While there are many different food philosophies and different approaches to nutrition, some aspects of our diet are common consensus and widely accepted as healthy food. The basic aspects of a balanced, healthy diet can be viewed as a whole foods diet. This approach focuses on fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, legumes, whole grains, healthy fats, and high quality meats. The evidence also clearly shows that optimal water intake is crucial for a healthy life and that sweets and other foods relying heavily on processed sugars, oils, and flours should make up only a small fraction of our diet.
Scientists define a healthy physical activity level, as at least 30 minutes per day of moderate to vigorous activity daily. Depending on your personal preference and physical condition, yoga and walking can be softer, yet very complete forms of workout that make for a happy mind along with a healthy, exercised body. A healthy body weight is crucial for a healthy individual. Healthy body weight is defined as a body mass index (BMI) between 18.5 and 24.9.
Contamination of pesticides, microplastics, air pollutants, and other environmental toxins are increasingly found in rivers, air, land, and seas, causing their increase in our food and water sources. Involuntary exposure to these toxins can cause many poor health outcomes. Water filters, buying organic foods, and avoiding plastic packaging can help to decrease the intake of these toxins. Different types of vitamin and minerals also decrease the toxins that have already accumulated in the body.
Other components of modern living environments, such as constant stress, an accelerated pace, and problems of mental health and poor sleeping patterns can be detrimental to a healthy lifestyle. Some find meditation, breathing exercises, or creative tasks very helpful to cope with these everyday challenges. Little things such as seeing friends, granting yourself a break or vacation when needed, being creative and engaging with things you love, and laughing and smiling (maybe through comedy) can also help to counteract the impact of stressful living environments.
